About Us

Crafting for Hope Foundation is a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring hope, supporting emotional wellness, and strengthening community connections through creativity and compassionate service. Founded by Benita Spinner, we help individuals facing illness, grief, isolation, and life’s challenges feel seen, valued, and supported.

We believe creativity opens the door to connection, self-expression, and renewed hope. Our programs combine meaningful crafting experiences, handmade gifts, encouraging messages, and community outreach to bring comfort where it is needed.

Hope Notes shares uplifting messages with people who need encouragement. Pack It With a Purpose provides thoughtfully assembled Hope Kits with practical items and caring touches. Crafting Comfort offers creative activities and handmade items to people navigating difficult circumstances, including children battling illness, mothers with babies in neonatal intensive care, and service members without nearby family support. The Moment encourages individuals to pause, recognize their emotions, and practice self-regulation through mindful, creative activities. We also offer other programs that support personal expression, connection, and community engagement.

We welcome businesses, schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, donors, and volunteers to partner with us through sponsorships, supplies, donations, and shared talents.
