15th Annual Southern Maryland Hiring Event Returns Bigger Than Ever on May 21, 2026 Presented by the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, in partnership with the College of Southern Maryland and the Rural Maryland Council Waldorf, MD — The Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland (TCCSMD), in collaboration with the College of Southern Maryland and the Rural Maryland Council, is proud to announce the 15th Annual Southern Maryland Hiring Event will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the College of Southern Maryland’s La Plata Campus. With 65+ hiring businesses and 20+ community resource partners already committed, jobseekers can expect access to a broad range of industries including healthcare, public safety, skilled trades, education, government services, technology, and more. The event has historically attracted between 800 to 1,200 jobseekers, and with over 600 registered jobseekers within just the second week, organizers are preparing for one of the largest turnouts in the event’s 15-year history.
