2023 Gals Lead Weekend Experience

Nanjemoy, Maryland – Enrollment for the 6th Gals Lead Weekend Experience is now open through April 15, 2023. The annual event will be held on April 22 and 23, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Melwood Recreation Center, 9035 Ironsides Rd, Nanjemoy, MD 20662.

What is it?
The Dream Queen Foundation’s transformational two–day weekend experience focuses on career and leadership development for teen girls. The program is designed to help teens embrace who they are at a young age, so they blossom into passionate, purpose-filled women of tomorrow. Along with the Gals Lead Curriculum, there will be 90 minutes of leadership activities at Promise Landing Farm with their horses as well as outdoor activities from Melwood.

Who is this for? The Foundation is excited to open this unique weekend experience to all middle and high school girls in the tri-county area to foster an environment where young women learn to trust themselves, accept their unique gifts and talents, and move into their future with clarity

What will you do? At Promise Landing Farm, the teens will take their learning beyond the classroom and apply these new concepts in activities with the Promise Landing Farm horses. As herd animals, horses are deeply attuned to body language, emotion, and intent. Interacting with them can help teens recognize how they are showing up in the world and, through the real-time feedback the horses provide, make changes that allow them to achieve their goals.
