Do you want to mentor teen girls? Do you want to join the movement and advocate for the Gals Lead mentorship and leadership program? Have you heard about the Dream Queen Foundation and want to learn more? Are you a counselor, teacher or administrator who is curious about starting a club in their school? This is the meeting for you. You will receive an overview of the history of the Dream Queen Foundation and the mission of the Gals Lead Leadership and Mentorship Program. A Vision for the Future The Dream Queen Foundation Vision: We envision a world where all women and girls have the knowledge and support they need to step into positions of leadership and bring their whole selves to impact the world, making it a more positive, peaceful, and joyful place to live. The Dream Queen Foundation Mission: To offer a safe space where women and teen girls can come together to support one another and celebrate their dreams. The Dream Queen Foundation Programs: Offering networking, retreats, conferences, club programs, and workshops to help women and teen girls align careers with passion & purpose, embrace authenticity & transparency in positions of power & influence, and replace greed & corruption with heart & soul. Gals Lead Club™ Mission: The mission of Gals Lead is to teach teenage girls the responsibility and the role of leadership, help them develop a life-long love for learning, gain the clarity and confidence needed to create intentional career paths they love – ones that align with their divine passion and purpose, and ultimately equip them to transform the 7 Cultural Spheres of Influence that define our world today: Government, Business, Education, Religion, Family, Media, & Arts/Entertainment. The program focuses on four Pillars of Success: (1) Know Yourself; (2) Dream Big; (3) Overcome Obstacles; (4) Take Action 90% of 4th through 8th graders report being victims of bullying Girls aged 14-16 engage in self harm at 3 times the rate of boys that age Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth ages 12-18 1 in 9 girls and 1 in 53 boys under the age of 18 experience sexual abuse or assault at the hands of an adult 75% of girls with low self-esteem reported engaging in negative activities such as disordered eating, cutting, bullying, smoking or drinking when thinking poorly about themselves
