Position Overview

The Bilingual Member Service Consultant will provide accurate, quality, timely, professional, confidential, and practical assistance in the lobby, drive-thru window, or by telephone in both Spanish and English

The position’s essential duties include the following:

  • Demonstrate efficiency with financial transactions for checking, savings, and borrowing members. 
  • Follow policies, guidelines, and regulations to properly identify and authenticate account owners, ensuring the protection and confidentiality of non-public information. 
  • Assist prospective, new, and existing members with questions, inquiries, or requests on new or existing accounts. 
  • Promote credit union products and services by identifying member needs and cross-selling benefits. 
  • Deliver timely and exceptional service.
  • Build meaningful relationships through conversations and establish trust with the membership.
  • Balance and maintain ATMs. Troubleshoot minor problems with ATMs and cash recyclers. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager or designee.    
  • Fulfill requests by performing clerical tasks and preparing mail, fax, or email delivery items.
     
     

Education 

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience

Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Credit Union or other financial institution experience preferred.
