Jazz in the Country, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in King George VA, and known for its vibrant and inspiring jazz festivals in King George, is thrilled to announce its expansion into Charles County, Maryland, with the launch of the 1st Annual Jazz & Wine Festival. This exciting event will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, and promises an unforgettable blend of live jazz, fine wines, and community celebration.
Building on the success of five annual jazz festivals at the historic Mt. Bethel Retreat Center in King George, Jazz in the Country is delighted to bring its mission of celebrating cultural heritage, fostering community connections, and supporting local artists and education to a new audience.
“Our expansion into Charles County marks an incredible milestone for Jazz in the Country,” said Joan Waters, Founding Board Member. “We are excited to bring the joy of jazz to this vibrant community and create an enduring platform for celebrating music, art, and connection.”
The organization will also host its 6th Annual Jazz Festival at the historic Mt. Bethel Retreat Center in King George, VA, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This signature event has become a beloved tradition for jazz enthusiasts throughout the region.
